Mending Shed Privacy Policy
        Our privacy policy is very simple.  We will never give your name or any of your information to anyone for any reason.  We will never sell or give your name to a marketing company.  Mendingshed.com does not advertise by email and you will not be placed on any mailing lists.  Many businesses like to bother you with emails, mailers and phone calls.  We can't stand telemarketers and spam and we would never do that to you.  This privacy policy is in place because we respect our customers.

Yahoo! Privacy Policy
        This site is hosted by Yahoo! Store.  Yahoo! hosts the store pages, ordering system and order data.  Yahoo! automatically collects order information but may only use this information in the aggregate.  If you accessed this store through Yahoo! Shopping, Yahoo! also automatically collects information about your shopping experience.  Please see the Yahoo! Privacy Policy for more information about how Yahoo! uses this information.

• Product is damaged / defective or does not work:  Contact us by phone or e-mail and give us the details.  We will give you instructions.



• I've changed my mind and I don't want it:  If it is unopened and in its original condition, we are happy to take it back and refund the price of the product if returned within 30 days from the original order date. Items returned after 30 days will be refunded store credit only. No shipping costs will be refunded.
  
  
• I didn't get what I wanted:  If you pushed the right buttons and we sent the wrong item, contact us and we will take care of it.  If you made the mistake we are still happy to trade you for the correct thing, but you are responsible for the shipping charges.
  
  
• Product I received does not work the way I thought it would:  We offer a satisfaction guarantee on every item we sell. If you are not satisfied with an item please contact us for a Return Authorization Number. Store credit will be issued when the item is returned. You are responsible for all shipping charges.
  
  
• I've opened and bothered, maybe even used it, now I don't want it:  No problem, we will take it back.* Call to obtain a Return Authorization Number. You will be given store credit when we get the item back. No shipping charges will be refunded.
  

Shipping Costs
        Mendingshed.com does add a charge to orders to cover shipping costs. We have worked hard and invested many tiresome hours trying to make these shipping charges as minimal as possible. However, Mendingshed.com does offer a 5% discount on the cost of purchased items on all orders for $55 or more. In order to receive this discount, simply enter the keyword "save5" in the coupon code / promotional code field on the order page. This field is located just below the credit card information fields of the order page. Only orders for $55 or more will receive this discount.

        There are some things you can do to make shipping more inexpensive. The most effective way is to choose the proper shipping method for your purchase. USPS Priority Mail is a fast, inexpensive option for any item weighing less than one pound. For heavy items, UPS Ground is the better choice. USPS Priority Mail starts at $4.75 for light items and UPS starts at $6.50 and increases depending on the destination and weight of the package.

                To experiment with shipping costs, you can select a shipping method and proceed to the order screen to calculate your total without any obligation to complete the order. You can then click the "back" button on your browser and try a different shipping method to see its cost. You can do this as many times as you like until you find a shipping cost and method that works best for you.

Shipping Methods
        We ship with various methods from The United States Postal Service (USPS) and UPS. Each of these methods are described below.

• USPS Parcel Post-
  This is our slowest but often cheapest shipping method. This mail service is not guaranteed to arrive at any specific time. It may take up to two weeks.



• USPS Priority Mail-
  The Postal Service's Priority Mail option is inexpensive for lighter packages and is very fast. Priority packages usually take two to three days and deliver nationwide, including Saturday delivery. Priority Mail shipments are not guaranteed to arrive within a specific timeframe.



• UPS Ground-
  UPS Ground is a good shipping method for heavier packages and they have a guaranteed delivery schedule (refer to UPS map below).



• UPS 3-Day Select-
  This is an express shipping method that guarantees delivery within three business days of shipment. Depending on location, UPS ground may be just as fast (see map below).



• UPS 2nd Day Air-
  This is an express shipping method that guarantees delivery within two business days of shipment. Depending on your location, UPS ground may be just as fast (see UPS map below).



• UPS Next Day Air-
  UPS gives your package an airline ticket and makes sure that it's at your door the very next business day. It's very fast. It's very expensive.

Delivery Schedule
        All orders received by 12:00 Midnight MST will be shipped next business day.

        USPS Priority Mail is our bang-for-the-buck champ. You can expect your Priority package in 2-3 days (no Sunday delivery) but Priority Mail is not on a guaranteed time schedule. USPS Parcel Post can be as fast as three days and as long as two weeks and Parcel does not follow a guaranteed time schedule. 3-Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air are guaranteed to arrive within the specified time (with no weekend delivery). UPS Ground is also guaranteed and follows a delivery schedule according to the map below (no weekend delivery).

Credit Card Transactions
        We accept all major credit and debit cards both online and by phone order.  These cards include Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. 

Payment by Check and Money Order
        We are happy to accept payment by personal check or money order.  Please be aware that all personal checks will be held for 10 business days prior to shipment of the order.  When you are sending a check or money order, you will need to fill out our Order Form.   

    The Mending Shed first opened its doors in June of 1971. Today we are a thriving small business specializing in a wide range of repairs with a fully stocked showroom and a growing online store.

    We are located in scenic Orem, Utah and are close to Salt Lake City, Brigham Young University and many world famous ski resorts including Park City, Snowbird, Deer Valley and Sundance.
